Nurse Enterance Test (NET)

Examintations are administered in the Odessa College Testing Center on a walk in basis no later than 1pm Monday - Thursday and no later than 10am on Fridays for the Fall/Spring Semester. Examinations are also offered during the summer sessions on a walk-in basis no later than 2pm monday - Thursday. The OC Testing Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Student Union Builing (SUB) room 200.

Identification with a photogragh and social security card is required for admission. A $40.00 test fee (money order only- NO CASH/NO PERSONAL CHECKS) made payable to Odessa College will be collected when you report for the NET Examination.

The purpose of this test is to assess academic and social skills. The results will be used by the Nursing/Allied Health Program admissions committee for objective screening.

The Test guidelines are as follows:

1. Essential Math 60 minutes
2. Reading Rate 1 minute
3. Reading Comprehension 30 minutes
4. Social Decisions 10 minutes
5. Stressful Situations 15 minutes
6.Learning Styles 15 minutes
7. Test Taking Skills 20 minutes

Total test time: 2 hours 31 minutes = 151 minutes

Scores are processed immediatley after the test is completed. Student is provided with two(2) copies of score report; thereafter, copies are $5.00 per copy. Studnet is responsible for providing copy of NET scores to the Nursing/Allied Health Department.
